Commonly known by the name “Green Onions”, these Spring Onions are very young. These green stems are hollow, bitter, pungent and have a crisp texture and flavor, and are very easy to grow. Try our Non-GMO Spring Onion Seeds. Also, check out our workshops for more details. 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PLANT DESCRIPTION
  1. Difficulty Level - Easy
  2. Plant Height - 30 - 50 cm
  3. Flower Color - White
  4. Type - Vegetable seed
  5. Feed - Vermicompost for nutrients every week, Seaweed once a month for greener leaves, and Epsom salt for better blooming once a month
  6. Watering - Regular watering, a sunny position, and being grown quickly.
  7. Sunlight - Full Sunlight 
  8. Germination Time - 1 week
  9. Flowering Time - They take about 8-12 weeks to mature.
  10. Suitable Temperature - 70°F - 80°F
  11. Season - All seasons
  12. Sowing - Preferably in September to February.
  13. Soil - Well-drained, humus-rich soil. Add compost or worm castings from your worm farm if you have one and ensure the soil is loose and friable. 
HOW TO GROW SPRING ONION FROM SEEDS
  1. Take a Seedling Tray and fill it with Cocopeat.
  2. Make ½ inch deep hole and put 2 - 3 seeds in each hole.
  3. Fill the hole with Cocopeat and spray with water using a spray gun or spray bottle.
  4. Water on alternate days.
  5. Seeds will germinate within a week.
  6. Full sunlight is needed.
  7. The time to harvest is 8 - 10 weeks.
ALTERNATE METHOD
  1. Take a Medium Size Pot and add a Potting Mix.
  2. If planting in the soil add Neem Cake Powder, Vermicompost, and Seaweed.
