Tar Kakri or Armenian cucumber is a long longitudinally grooved vegetable that is usually eaten raw. It tastes similar to the common cucumber and contains lots of fibers. Try our  Non-GMO Tar Kakri seeds. Also, check out our workshops for more details.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
  1. Difficulty Level - Medium
  2. Plant Height - 35 to 40 cm
  3. Flower Color - Yellow
  4. Type - Vegetable seed
  5. Feed - Vermicompost for nutrients every week, Seaweed once a month for greener leaves, and Epsom salt for better blooming once a month
  6. Watering - Every day
  7. Sunlight - Full sunlight
  8. Germination Time - 1 - 2 weeks
  9. Flowering Time - 7 - 9 weeks
  10. Suitable Temperature - 65°F - 80°F
  11. Season - All seasons
  12. Sowing - Preferably in February to April and June to July.
  13. Soil - Tar Kakri does best in fertile, well-drained soil that remains slightly moist but doesn't stay wet for long periods. For the best growth and fruit production, add compost to the soil before sowing.
HOW TO GROW TAR KAKRI FROM SEEDS
  1. Take a Seedling Tray and fill it with Cocopeat.
  2. Make ½ inch deep hole and put 4 seeds in each hole.
  3. Fill the hole with Cocopeat and spray with water using a spray gun or spray bottle.
  4. Seeds will germinate within 1 - 2 weeks.
  5. Full sunlight is needed.
  6. The time of harvest is 7 - 9 weeks.
ALTERNATE METHOD
  1. Take a Medium Size Pot and add a good Potting Mix.
  2. If planting in the soil add Neem Cake Powder, Vermicompost, and Seaweed.
